A full moon on December 25 is the first Christmas day full moon since 1977 and will not occur again until 2034 in two more metronic cycles. The moon is technically full at 6:11 AM EST on the morning of the 25th, a little over an hour before sunrise (although the sky will be lightening).
In the western sky, also visible for a few days will be the "Summer Triangle," a very recognizable pattern of three stars (Deneb, Vega, and Altair). Not a constellation (the stars are part of three separate constellations), this is called an asterism, simply a pattern of stars.
