Four months later, and his second mountain - Kearsarge (Warner) - today on a beautiful, warm, sunny day, with lots of other families and dogs...

7 months old

He did get the family out... but one hike does not make a trend

Great weekend for hiking - I enjoyed Liberty yesterday. 10 and counting, hoping to get up several of the next 8 weekends or so, see if the second 10 can go a lot faster than the first.

I can't wait to hike with you two soon. I am more than willing to carry Gryffin up the steep scrambles but I can't promise I will put him back down.

He collects snowballs for sure. I put Mushers Secret on his paws and those snowballs come off easily. I have been experimenting all winter at lower elevations and this seems to be the best solution. The Pawz booties don't last very long - one trip / 5 miles if I am lucky.

Gryffin and I have made the trek to Crawford Notch the past three weekends, and have enjoyed Pierce+Ike, Tom+Field+Willey and today we did Mount Jackson. He's been a great hiking companion so far and we both look forward to many more.

Glad you guys are doing well, he looks awesome. Dog's really are the best hiking partners, they don't care about the trail or mountain, don't care if you summit or not, don't care if your slow or fast, you can break anytime you want, change your plans on a dime with no complaints. They only want to hike, throw in some water, a little mud ( ok Bud, a lot of mud ) some tasty treats and they are happy every time.
