After 2 very late fall climbs that were very much winter-like climbs, we came back to get it for real this time. We started with J&J at 8:30, knowing that Big Earl and several others had done it the day before.

It was about 10 degrees, with a slight breeze and light snow falling as we left. It quickly became apparent that there had been a fair amount of new snow and wind. The very fluffy snow had filled in the track quite a bit. It was enough that we took turns breaking trail thru 4-8" of powder. Nothing exciting happened going up, and we made steady progress. Near the top, we layered up for the summit push. A few minutes later we were on top. The wind was blowing, but not terribly. We took some quick pics, and headed back down to shelter for some snacks and tea. The thought of doing Pierce evaporated quickly, as it did not appear to be broken out, and Laurie has a football game to watch! :D

Heading back down, we met a group of 4 ladies, Anne, 'Sam', etc., apparently some AMC 4K committee members. After that, a parade of people and pooches. Back down around 12:30 after some butt-sliding and a nice quick descent. :D
