Trail Conditions: trail well packed out for snowshoes..easy going until we followed a wrong turn coming up to the spring but quickly relocated trail..basically stay straight ahead. Some drifting from the spring to the summit. Ramp up the ledges hard packed windblown and easy on snowshoes. Some recent blowdown and bendover work along the way. Brook crossings have solid bridges.. Some pockets of very deep snow along the way..gorgeous
Equipment: Snowshoes on all day and full winter gear for the summit with blowing snow, 4 degrees and 25-35 mph winds
Comments: Possible plans to head over to Pierce abandoned in the face of the brisk winds and falling temperatures..Beautiful snowshoe conditions made for a great hike..this trail is so much better in the winter..
