I realize that the road is posted as closed, but I am wondering if anyone has an in as to when it might open? It was open just before the last snowfall, I should've jumped at the chance then :(
I'm hoping on going the short way up soon.

Didn't they have to have repair severe washouts? I'm not sure but I thought that last October's rains severely washed out sections of the road. That would mean that it could stay closed for awhile...if I'm thinking of the correct road.

I hiked up Caps Ridge last month. You could always park at the Cog Base road and take the boundary trail, with a roadwalk, to the trailhead. Adds a bit of time to the hike, but very little elevation gain (if any). Makes a real short day just a wee bit longer ;) .

We found Jefferson Notch ride open and driveable (with 4wheel drive) over 2 weeks ago.

You can search and retrieve it under that username.
There is no doubt less snow and more mud now.
