Date of Hike: Sunday, September 16th
Trails: Caps Ridge, Jefferson Loop, Gulfside, Jewell, Boundary Line, Jefferson Notch Road
Trail Conditions: All trails were in great shape, just one narrow section just below treeline on the Jewell Trail but above treeline the scrub has been trimmed back and is great. With the colder temps rime ice and glaze ice on the rocks were present in the morning above 5,000 feet so just be prepared for that on and off rom here on out.
Comments: Felt like winter, high winds, wind chills in the teens above treeline early, air felt crisp and refreshing, views were great! Jefferson Notch Road is a nice road walk back to the car and will be very picturesque as the colors change. Click here for Pictures
