Trail is well packed to summit. A little side-hill stuff on 2nd half of the "below tree line" section. Above treeline is icy and snowy. wind has erased most tracks. Heading off the summit on Crawford to Lakes was very snowy but well tracked
Snowshoes were 100% necessary. crampons would have made the "above tree line" sections more tolerable, but I kept the MSRs on and had no trouble at all. All of ammonoosuc has been heavily bare-booted so ankle twisters made the descent less fun
Summit was breathtaking. Narry a breeze on the lee side and plenty of sunshine. Views were wicked fahhh! A very nice treat from old "Agiocochook"
Lost visibility on descent to Lakes Hut (50-75 feet) Kinda eerie, but well travelled path made it easy to follow.
