11/16/08 Climbed with six from NJSAR's mountain rescue unit, Long path /snow mobile trail WET! WET! WET! as usual, but no snow or ice. Some spots are heavily flooded requiring a slight deviation from the trail but still nogotiable. The bushwack section (old twilight park trail) being still visable for the most part. Blowdown on both sections of the trail is a bit heavy with trees down over the plank bridge and in several spots along the flooded section of the trail, the cairns are in good shape on both sides of the twilight park snowmobile trail junction's. The weather was in the low 30's with heavy winds gusting to 35 mph and some flurries. At this point no special equipment is required due to the lack of snow and ice, however im shure this wont last for long.(crampons are in my pack oct 1) As always another great day in the Catskills.
