Cube Mt. Trip Report date should be May 26!
Trail conditions: Dry, rocky and rooty. Even more so then I remembered from other trips. Went up the North Trail from Winslow Park and down the Barlow Trail.
Special equipment: None
Features: Manned fire tower. Fun to see the views from up there, including the snow-covered "Rock Pile". Saw bits of snow on Killington and Ascutney ski slopes. Enjoyed talking to the ranger who had formerly been over at the Croydon fire tower.
Many family groups and friends up enjoying a great day. Barlow Trail is a nice way to come down. Saw lots of hobblebush.
