Date of Hike: 11/30/13

Trail Conditions: there's only an inch or so of snow, but lots of spots where ice flows across or along the trail, especially in the steep or ledgy areas.

Special Equipment Required: I'd recommend light traction and sticks. I didn't put on my spikes until I got on the ridge, but if I had it to do again I'd put them on a mile or so in from the road, at the first stream crossing.

Comments: Optional - No cars in the lot when I started at 7:30; five or six when I got down at about 12:30. The thermometer said it was cold (1 at 7:30, 15 at 12:30), but it was a beautiful, comfortable day in the woods with very little wind and awesome 360 views up above.
