There is some snow visible on Katahdin as of yesterday from afar but this is not unusual for this time of year. The trails coming out of the north, particularly the Saddle holds snow for a longer period. I' have hiked Dudley in early June a couple years ago and passed over a couple snow pockets on the trail. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a little snow in the nooks and crannies climbing Cathederal. We just had a lot of rain up here and it's possible that there is flooding and excessive wetness from snow melt and the new rain keeping those routes closed. There is a good shot the rest will open this weekend, especially with the warm weather.
