Route: Lafayette Camp Ground->Old Bridle Path ->Greenleaf → Garfield Ridge ->Twinway -> Zealand ->A-Z Avalon->Crawford Depot
The condition of the most part of the route was as good as it can be. There were a few muddy spots posing no difficulty to pass. Water crossing was so easy that even shoes could be kept dry by rock hopping. Icy patches were the only challenges but for the entire route of 23 miles there were no more than a dozen of them that require serious negotiation.
The breakfast cake at Greenleaf hut was amazingly good. It went very with hot tea while the freezing wind was howling outside. The wind abated later morning to give the way to a calm day.
Special Equipment Required:
Hiking poles – very useful
