Conditions: Snowbridges still good. Snowpack below treeline still pretty solid for snowshoes which were superfast - postholes were easy to avoid. Above treeline, bareboots were good - I was able to pick out dry rocks.

Special Equipment: Bareboots & sunscreen for the ridge. Snowshoes worked well & fast below treeline.

Comments: I thought today would be a washout, and I was heading for something (undecided) in Crawford's Notch. But, when the sun came out as I approached the Bridle Path TH exit, I said what the heck, I'll give it a try. Clear blue sky! Today was a gift!!! It was windy across the ridge, but the air was warm. Awesome views (finally!!!) It might have been a napping day on the ridge, but I was afraid of the dark distant clouds and the forecast, so I kept moving. Finally saw two people on Little Haystack and nobody else - unbelievable!!!
