Trails well packed below treeline. The ridge is quite icy now. Crampons worked beter there than Kahtula microspikes. No need for snowshoes.
We lost the trail in windy conditions for a few minutes going down from L. Haystack. Be careful in this spot in full conditions! We'be been on this trail countless times in winter and still lost the trail above the spot where it enters the woods!
