trails: up Old Bridle down Falling Waters
conditions: well packed with good snow coverage below tree line, rocky with snow blown in many places above tree line, ice was easily avoided. Moderate wind and temperatures above tree line, cloudy with limited visibility. Overall, good conditions allowing for fast hiking - especially a fast and fun descent.
equipment: one could use spikes, snowshoes, or bare boots all with good effect. Crampons would be overkill IMHO.
