Date of Hike: Mon. 02-22-10
Trails: Basin Whack, Liberty Springs Trail, Franconia Ridge Trail.
All tracks from this weekend were covered over with a dusting to about 2" of new snow.
I used "Hillsounds" to the summit of Liberty and put on my snowshoes for the ridge walk and left them on to just below the tent site. Trails have a solid base. Water crossings were not an issue. The main one was iced bridged.
A few duck unders.
Sunny, mild, but breezy on Liberty and dead calm on Flume (go figure).
Two other hikers on the trails today.
