Locke's Hill / Kimball Castle. Gilford, NH

Hey there,
Anyone been?

I've been visiting our family cottage on chanticleer shores since 76, in the shadow of Locke's Hill, yet, I've never been there.

I did explore kimball castle as a juvenile.
The view from the roof was phenominal!

I drove by the locke's hill TH on monday. Unplowed.

The tree's are bigger now, and it's hard to spot the castle from the lake anymore.
There was a project to make the castle into an inn & resort. I guess I'm glad it did'nt happen. www.kimballcastle.com

I did the Lockes Hill loop a couple winters ago, parked across the street at the scenic vista. Easy hike with lake views.
