Stayed at the Lonesome Lake Hut last night and headed out this morning up the Fishin' Jimmy Trail to Kinsman Notch, where we picked up the Kinsman Ridge Trail. Snowshoes with traction a must. About halfway up the Fishin' Jimmy Trail there were 6-8 in. snowdrifts. This made for a slower pace than normal. As soon as we hit the Kinsman Ridge Trail the snowdrifts deepened to between 2-4 ft. Tough going up, but what fun it was sliding down with our snowshoes. Thanks for joining me Gypsy Toes. What a wonderful time!
