lonesome lake via basin cascade brook trail. parked at basin lot northbound. lots of room. hiked up to hut with A & L. great day. snow covered balsam and spruce. fresh snow had been tramped on for about 2 thirds the way. lunch at the hut then lopped around the lake and back down. 6 miles round trip. highly suggest snowshoesto keep the trail enjoyable. seen only 2 other people all day and they were postholing across the lake.
