Trail Conditions: Fine, no problems
Special Equipment required: With wet leaves on rocks, visitors from the parking lot should pretend they are hikers and use proper boots with ankle support and leave the track shoes at home.
Comments: Excellent views and weather around 60 F. To the south, Nyack, TZ Bridge, Piermont, Yonkers and Manhattan skyline visible. To the north, High Tor, South Mountain, Rockland Lake and Hudson almost to Bear Mountain. Summit is overrun by birders who have placed plastic owls on 20 ft poles to attract a variety of hawks and other migratory and non-migratory raptors. One guy with two Sony cameras with huge telephoto lenses dissed my pocket Olympus 7.1 mp when I asked if anyone could take a summit shot of me.
