Am headed to do Redington and possibly Spaulding this week and remember Caribou Valley Road (or Caribou Pond Road as it is also called) being quite iffy for driving conditions - even 4WD could not get down the entire road due to bridges out. Sue at Stratton Motel took us down CVR until just before the AT crossing last year but she reported that Irene had made conditions a lot worse. Anyone know how things are right now? Pepp
