I normally like to climb becouse of the reward at the summit. Hiking on a normal trail doesn't do it for me. Now if there were some nice trails that had nice views such as water falls or rock formations that would be different. Does anyone know of nice trails in the southern adk's or northern catskills that have such a reward?

Right now the Catskiss are fantastic.....

The Catskills are fantastic after a heavy rain. The terraced lay of the land, the hard, rocky clayish soil makes for much visible runoff. In some places you can walk through a drainage and see waterfalls of all sizes and description, evry 100 to 200 feet. Check out Kaaterskill falls but also hike around Mary's Glen, and other areas around North/South Lake area, while there is runoff and you will be delighted by the number and variation of waterfalls you will see.
