Heh, after reading the night hiking thread, I decided to get up there Saturday night at 2230 so I could do the loop Sunday and drive back down to CT comfortably. Almost instantly the police walked over and started giving me 20 questions as to why I would want to hike at night. After they figured I was not a perp, they shared some info.

It turns out there was a missing female, and a search was in progress at that hour. On Sunday morning I found a lipstick container north of French Pt Mtn and called DEC. They said the person had been found. And thats the last time I saw my phone.

After it rained today I had it deactivated. Besides it was in silent mode cuz I was outdoors. But thanks for the suggestion.
