Trail out of Garden Slushy, not much snow...light rain , 36 degrees. Team of 5 overnighters coming out...they hiked the Great Range. +- Foot of snow at ranger station outpost, crossed suspension bridge. Snow and colder up the Range trail. Snowshoes at Lean-To for traction in wet 1.5 feet of snow. Could have used crampons on ice walls on LWJ summit trail (left them w/pack at lean-to). No visibility...snowing heavily. West River Trail now frozen on way out, lot of groups coming in,..some w/tents others staying in cabins...all trails in area should be broken. 7.5 hours RT.
