We took the Carter Dome Trail (vs C-M) up/back from Carter Dome. All trails below 3000' in good shape with minimal mud (but lots of leaves!). Above 3000', an inch or so of loose snow with some icy spots, not bad. North Imp Trail above viewpoint has some tricky, ice-covered crossings as it slabs over to the North Carter Trail.
A several blowdowns on the Imp Trail and Carter-Moriah Trail. The trusty Fanno (thanks Giff and Mike) took care of a few.
Except for the above, crossings are mellow.
Lovely, comfortable day in wintery woods with stunning views across the valley.
