Trail from Elk Lake to herdpath packed but some loose powder. Herdpath to base of slide also packed now. 4 in my group plus two others we met at the base of the slide made the trek today. Snowshoes were used the entire day. Slide had a lot of powder on it except for the random ice. Footing was not a problem on the way up or down. Everyone brought crampons, no one used. At end of day, trail well packed by 6 person traffic.
