Started at Elk Lake and used the Slide Brook herd path to the top of Macomb. Trail is in good shape and mainly dry. Climbed the new slide which took a while but not that bad just strenuous. Trail over the two Dixes again are in good shape and dry. We elected to use the Lillian Brook trail to come back out vs going back up Macomb and down the slide. This trail is in very good shape until about the last 1/4 mile closest to the state trail to Dix. This section had some blow down and mud. It was also narrow in spots but not that hard to follow. This whole hike took us about 9 hours.
