- Summits: Macomb, South-Dix, Hough
- Trails followed: Elk Lake Road (from the winter barrier); trail to Dix (119); Slide brook trail (unmarked); unmarked trail between Macomb and South-Dix; unmarked trail between South-Dix and Hough; unmarked trail from col between South-Dix and Hough to Lilian brook trail; Lilian brook trail (unmarked); trail from Dix (119); Elk Lake Road.
- Trail condition: everything below 3000' on somewhat hard surface (packed snow or ice); more powder at higher altitudes (never more than 4"); Macomb slide easy to ascend with light crampons (microspykes); unmarked trail between South-Dix and East-Dix was opened, but not the one between Hough and Dix.
- To bring with you: compass and altimeter, standard winter gear (bring spare gloves, bushwacks are wet), light crampons, hiking poles, snowshoes not necessary.
- Note - Stream crossings: not a problem.
- Note - Slide brook and Lilian brook trails: in addition to the fact that these trails are opened and easy to follow, the start of these trails from the main Dix trail (119) is marked by a cairn (3 feet high for the one marking the start of Slide brook trail).
- Hiking time: 8h38 (total).
