Has anyone hiked Madison recently. Planning on doing it soon and was wondering conditions?

Not sure, but I was on Jackson Mon. & IMO I would bring crampons & poles if you use them. Snow was disappearing from our scan of the area. I'm also assuming your taking the Valley Way Tr. If your coming in from the Mad. Gulf Tr. You'll probably want 1 or 2 ice axes as well, but that's a whole different game. (that was my first attempt at winter mountaineering & we had to turn back due to ice & lack of hardwear,
