Trail Conditions: Valley Way is clear for the first few tenths, then a rail and then very hard-parked. With either stabilizers or microspikes footing was excellent. On the way down it has softened a bit, but still excellent conditions. Above treeline there was the same glaze/ice I'd experienced on the other above treeline peaks this week.

Special Equipment Required: Microspikes or stabalizers essential. We used them on the cone as well, although crampons might have been a better choice on the descent. But, we were in no hurry, so were just extra careful.

Comments: The storm slid by to the south, so mostly it was sunny with high thin clouds. Another great day in the mountains with a old friend.

We met Gillian at the hut, who in turn was waiting for friends going a trek over from Washington. We also had friends doing something similar.
