Thank you all for the great info! Papa Bear, that's some journal - you strained my printer!
I am leading a group of varied hiking ability on a 4 day trip to the Sugarloaf area and I wanted to get as much info together as I could. I've never been hiking in Maine and want to start on the Miane 4000'ers. If any of you will be in that area on 8/28 to 9/1 and want to join up with our group of 4, let me know.
