Since this happened in the Catskills, we were able to join Marc and Steph, as he finished the North East 115 in Winter on Hunter Mountain. Many people finish on the big K, but Marc was almost as far away from BSP as you could get and still be on a 4000er.
It was not a perfect day weather wise. It was 35 degrees, and a light mist/rain fell from time to time. Mostly light winds blew from time to time. Early optimism about views faded as we climbed up into the clouds around 3300'. But we pressed on, with a brief stop at the John Robb Leanto.
After that, we continued on the road to the summit, where we made a gauntlet of poles as Marc made his way to the Cabin. A variety of beers were produced, along with cheese and crackers, and a few mini-shots of chocolate covered booze.
The walk back down was quick, and we were off to Cave Mountain to celebrate.
Congrats on this awesome accomplishment, even if you don't read it here!
