Hiked up Marcy from the Loj on Monday. Conditions were fair, with a slight headwind for much of the hike. There was a good amount of snow towards the top so we were careful- almost too careful...
We passed a couple of sapsuckers that were schlepping snowshoes and iceaxes. There was no need for either.
The weather was fine, and we had a delightful picnic at the top.
