Van-H is dry up until about the TT herdpath, then snow spine then deeper and deeper snow beginning to rot underneath from the water but still firm in the morning, mushy in the afternoon. Planks are under water on the shoulder. Lovely day on the summit. Once back in the trees snow begins again but annoyingly very rotted with deep running water all the way to 4 corners. Snowshoes up Skylight until maybe 100ft from the summit (could bareboot but the snow is very deep and soft). Met a lost and waterless hiker on my return to 4 corners and so aborted Gray. Still a good day
