I went hiking and my plan was to hike Marcy-Skylight-Algonquin. I had
very good time going up Marcy from Adk Loj (3 hr 10 min.) and on the
summit of Marcy I see lots of rain cloud coming. I still went down Marcy to
four Corners and hike Skylight (lots of snow). At 9:20 am I was back at
four corners and it was raining a lot, so I decided to return to Marcy
and skip Algonquin. I just don't bring the good gear (forget my goretec
pant) for that rainy day. Going up Marcy I was in the fog, I reach and
past 4 others hikers going up. No stop at the summit and I went down
in direction of Adk Loj.
I meet a very large Chineese group (20-30 hikers in separate group)
that was going up Marcy and I meet others hikers without any gear
and just a Gatorade buttle in one and!!!
I finish my hike at 1:20 pm (18 miles in 8 hours).
It was the second time that I failed to hike Algonquin after had hike
Marcy in a day hike. Lots easier to hike Algonquin first and Marcy after.
