started out about 7:30am, there was about 6" fresh powder up to the lean-to. about a foot up on top of plateau.
At the lean-to i put on snowshoes but crampons, as my hiking partner had, would have been a better choice. there was a lot of ice under the fresh snow and the steep climb up plateau made snowshoes very difficult to maneuver. started snowing at the top, no views whatsoever, and we decided to drop down to devil's tombstone and hitch back to mt tremper due to wind and it being 12:30 already.
temps in 30's at the base and about teens at the top, all in all a very good day
