blasted up east osceola from greeley pond. a few people up there slid down and wasnt much purchase. very steep. i made it up to where the slide is and turned around. my koflachs chewed my ankles up so bad that i didnt bring them with foot fangs. i wore sorels with 6 point insteps. wasnt about to cross that icy slide with those on, i was slipping enough as it is. i guess ill have to go back up and over the main peak like i planned originally, or go back with the koflachs and some good scotch to kill the pain later. what a week of hiking. good to see the other people at the film premier last night. sherpa john's fiance used to live around the corner from me where i grew up!! i was their paper boy. small world, but i wouldnt want to paint it.
