38 degrees with light rain at the parking lot. At the summit, there was a strong and fairly steady wind, puddles of water everywhere--except where the wind was hitting the rock consistently, in which case there was black ice. There wasn't a lot of ice, but enough to have to be careful for the last thirty feet of so up to the summit.
Went up via White Dot trail and down via White Cross trail. Spotted a small patch of ice behind a rock during a biobreak.
Disturbingly, there were many hikers who were improperly dressed for the day. Spotted one man hiking alone in jeans, a cotton long-sleeve t-shirt, and a baseball cap. No pack, no rain gear, absolutely nothing to fall back upon had he gotten injured excepted the goodwill of other hikers and the rangers who would have had to deal with him.
