Date of Hike: Saturday Feb 23, 2008
Trail Conditions: Followed popular White Dot trail and was suprised at how packed the trail was after Fridays snowfall. I was able to bareboot to 'Paradise Valley' where I put on 6 pointers however, most of the group used some form of stabilizer or micro-spike.
Special Equipment Required: Snowshoes not needed but some form of tracktion is required for the slick upper slopes. The moon was bright, but not bright enough to guide the way, headlamp.
Comments: Windy above tree line and even more windy on the summit. Excellent conditions for my first winter moonlit climb.
Thanks to Monadnock Vol for the detailed trip reports
