Last year after the ice storm, I noted that the Spruce Link was signed as White Cross Trail but thought that was just temporary as the maps they handed out still showed White Cross starting at Falcon Spring. But yesterday a park ranger told me that the section of White Cross by the spring was closed permanently due to wetlands issues.

Sorry if this is old news but it's the first I heard of it.

I had heard it was re-signed / re-routed about 6 months ago, and Sunday wondered why when we hiked the White Dot. Thanks for the explanation as to why this was done.
