Trail Conditions: Like many parts of New England, well covered in snow. Seven of us re-broke the trail that had been well drifted. We wandered a bit through the blueberries until we found the trail where it re-entered the woods. Instead of following the trail where it turns before the road and heads to Hubbard Hill, we walked back to the cars along the road. .

Special Equipment Required: Snowshoes required, (well, very, very useful), Crampons not needed for the small windswept summit area. Warm clothes and dry boots. If we get another powder snow event with drifting, large snowshoes very helpful, otherwise smaller ones okay.

Comments: Optional - 2nd time on the Monadnock - Sunapee Greenway other than on Monadnock. Trail is fairly wide through the trees, in most places. Not broken out at all but only hard to follow through the blueberries. Seven of us from Colchester, CT's Troop 72 made the trip instead of heading directly back home after a day and night at Pat's Peak where we slept in the Bear Den.
