People, lots of people on the trail today. After two days mowing and raking in my yard I had to get out. Going to the Whites was not an option as I had to stop in my office for an hour today to finish a presentation for tomorrow. So I went to Monadnock with a slight detour to my office.

This was more of a training hike to stay in shape so I wanted to get to the summit as fast as I could. Considering I had to wait for people to get in several spots I was happy with my 75 minutes from the car to the summit. Took me about 50 minutes to get back down. No running but I tried to rock hop around the crowds fairly quickly. (Those that know me know I'm not running anywhere!) Beautiful day to be on the trail today.

Got back to the trailhead about 4:10 pm and noticed a lady sitting by a tree reading a book with a bug headnet on. After reading the previous trail report I am wondering if it was Poison Ivy?

Got back home in plenty of time for dinner! I wish I was this close to the Presidentials.
