Calling all snowshoes for a Moose attack!
We’re planning to hike Moosilauke on Saturday - 2/15.
If the experts at the National Weather Service are right we should have fresh snow to enjoy (currently their estimate appears to be ~6 inches). A wise man or woman once said – “The more the merrier”. That applies to many things, including Moose attacks.
It’s a short hike and the new snow should create terrific scenery to enjoy along the way. Our pace will be leisurely. With the developing conditions we expect the hike to run at least ~25% over book time, maybe more.
Our plan is to meet at the Beaver Brook trailhead in Kinsman Notch and hike a round-trip via Beaver Brook Trail. I’m expecting it to be an end-to-end on snowshoes.
If you’re interested in joining the fun or want additional details; please respond here or message me.
