Does anyone know if Ravine Lodge Road is open to car travel I know they don't plow it but I don;t remember a gate at the end. Thanks Nancy

There is a gate very near the road. The USFS forest road that leads to the Benton Trailhead is also gated at this time of year, which gives you about an extra two-mile walk each way.

The Ravine Lodge road is gated about 100 yards from Rt 118, and there's a parking area plowed out. It's 1.5 miles to the Lodge from there.

and if it is packed out, like it usually is, it is a very fast walk - 20-30 minutes max.
