Trail Conditions: Fairly dry, just a trace of snow in the darkest cols, high on Asquam Ridge near Beaver Brook junction, some near Mt. Blue, and just a few spots on the Carriage Road. Lots of evidence that the DOC has been doing a lot of work on the trails.
Special Equipment Required: rain coat helpful but we never saw much more than a light rain around 1:30 by which time we were almost at the Snapper/Gorge junction which has been relocated a bit fairly recently. Bugs not bad and not nearly enough snow for traction.
Comments: - Did not get a heavy rain so with the synthetic shirt, we did not need to add a rain coat. The wind made it a bit chilly on top but not too bad, from what I hear, warmer than Saturday. On our way up above the Asquam and Beaver Book junction we stopped and talked with Serena and Justin who will be opening the Notch Hostel in July. Looking forward to staying with them in the last half of the year at least once.
