Three marines and four civies. "Semper Fidelis"! Most of the trail had a few inches of snow over hard pack and / or ice. Barebooted to 4000 feet then crampons are required. Should have put the crampons on from the start. Snow shoes down will get you back to the trailhead quick! A beautiful day with mostly clear ski. Probably single digits with winds at about 25 mph. Lots of other happy people up there.
