Mtn.: Moosilauke via Glencliff Trial
Date of Hike: Wed. Dec. 26, 2007
Trail Conditions: Crusty packed snow to about 1600 ft. Above 1600 ft to summit snow loose. Trail was broken but rough. No blowdowns.
Equipment: Barebooted because of the hard surface about half way up. Switched to Snowshoes and wore them the rest of the day. Crampons not needed. Snowshoes worked very well.
Comments: About a dozen other hikers today, all bare booting and really tearing up the trail. Beautiful day. Some wind at the summit, but not bad at all due to the mild temps.
