Started @ 9:00 - About 3-4 inches of new snow on Glencliff with icy crust near base. About a mile from Trail jct with Carriage Road, Snowed lightly for much of the morning. Trail had about 8 inches of fresh powder and was pretty slippery in spots. Used microspikes and snowshoes. Snow drifted, as usual on Carriage Rd.. No views today except forspectacular and ridiculous rimescapes resting like rust over everything as you proceeded to treeline and beyond! Summit was socked in, but temps were not bad and wind was minimal. Made it back to cars by 2:30. -Bara
