What are in your opinion are some uninspired trail names that you have run across?

For myself- it has to be some that I have seen out west- I have seen many out there that are just numbers. Once in Utah (sorry Utah- I do love your mountains) I came across trails that all had the number 4 in all of them.

In South Dakota the trail from Sylvan Lake to Harney Peak is #19. There are #19's carved in trees.

Harriman SP has a bunch of weird trail names... including those like the Red Cross, the Red Dot trail (which looks like the flag of Japan), the Poached Egg trail... etc.

Trail Names

I have always found the names of the trails in Harriman SP to be really amusing - for the most part. The Poached Egg Trail being one of my favorites. Certainly Harriman must receive the most difficult to paint trail blaze award of any park that I have ever seen. I mean- the Red Cross Trail is blazed with a red cross on white ground, And until recently all blazes by tradition were hand painted! Also Red Arrow Trail. I maintained a trail for 5 years there- The Pine Meadow Lake Tr- but thankfully it was only a red dot on a white field.
