Orange trail from Hudson River Boat Launch to the Ridge
Trail Conditions: Beautiful morning - deep snow. We broke trail (Orange Trail) from the parking area at the Hudson River Boat Launch to the yellow trail (Western Ridge Trail). Skinned up and skied down (twice). Snowshoer followed. Trail should be in great shape to gain access to the ridge.
Special Equipment Required: Skis w/ skins or Snowshoes required. Snow off the packed trail was very deep.
Comments: Conditions should be excellent until the rain comes back this week. Parking area was not yet plowed from the snow Friday night. Bring a shovel in case you get plowed in.
